Oakdale Junior School has been given the opportunity to participate in Project EDWARD(European Day Without a Road Death) on Wednesday 19th September 2018. In order to show our support, we will be taking part in a selection of activities to promote safer travel and encourage road users to reflect on their behaviour and attitude.

Activities will include:

  • A whole school assembly
  • The whole school community to be encouraged to take the Project EDWARD safety pledge (click here)
  • A walking bus on Wednesday 19th September 2018 at 8-8.10am.

Walking Bus

Children can be dropped off outside Woodford Aquatics on Maybank Road at 8-8.10am and school staff will walk the children to school.  For those children attending, we will feed them breakfast donated by TfL (continental breakfast of cereals, fruit and pastries) before the school day.  The local press will be attending along with a representative from TfL.  If you would like your child to participate, please complete and return the slip on the letter sent out on September 10th no later than Monday 17th September.
